長野在住で、ともに製造業に携わる岡田ご夫妻。

愛車は、鮮やかなオレンジのボディとダックテイルが印象的なPorsche 911 2.7です。

以前、CRANKにてVolkswagen Golf II Cabrioletをご購入いただいておりましたが、空冷ポルシェへの憧れは常に心のどこかにあったそうです。

昨年秋、まずは一度空冷ポルシェに触れてみたいと、奥様とともにCRANKのイベントへご来場。その際に出会ったのが、この911 2.7でした。

ボディカラーとダックテイルのスタイルが理想そのものであったことに加え、「重すぎない空冷ポルシェが欲しい」というご主人の希望に、2.7リッターエンジンの軽快なフィーリングがぴたりと重なりました。

まさにご縁を感じられたお二人は、「少し早いかもしれない」と思いながらも、ご購入を決意されました。

現在は奥様もステアリングを握るべく練習中。

そして毎週日曜日の朝には、欠かさず霧ヶ峰へドライブに出かけられています。

そこには、旧車を愛する人々が自然と集まる小さなコミュニティがあります。お店が開くまでのわずかな時間だけ現れる、特別な朝の集い。ご夫妻から伺ったその風景は実に魅力的で、私たちもぜひ訪れてみたいと思いました。

クルマを通じて新しい景色や人との出会いが生まれていく。

そんな20代の素敵なお二人と、この911 2.7の物語を、これからも追いかけていきたいと思います。

A Car, A Life Vol.45

Living in Nagano and both working in the manufacturing industry, the Okada couple share a passion for cars and craftsmanship alike.

Their beloved car is a Porsche 911 2.7, distinguished by its vibrant orange bodywork and charming ducktail rear spoiler.

Having previously purchased a Volkswagen Golf II Cabriolet from CRANK, they had always harbored a dream of owning an air-cooled Porsche. Last autumn, they visited a CRANK event together, simply hoping to experience one firsthand.

That was when they encountered this particular 911 2.7.

The striking body color and ducktail styling immediately caught their attention, but what truly sealed the connection was the character of the 2.7-liter engine. Its lighter, more agile feel perfectly matched Mr. Okada’s desire for an air-cooled Porsche that wouldn’t feel overly heavy or intimidating.

Although they felt the timing might have been a little earlier than planned, the sense of fate was undeniable, and they decided to make it theirs.

Mrs. Okada has also begun taking the wheel and is currently enjoying the process of learning and building confidence behind the steering wheel.

Every Sunday morning, the couple makes a point of driving to Kirigamine. There, before the local cafés and shops open, a small gathering of classic car enthusiasts naturally forms. It is a brief but meaningful community that exists only for a few hours each week. Listening to their stories, we found ourselves wanting to visit and experience it firsthand.

Cars have a unique way of creating new landscapes, friendships, and memories.
